How the Sessions Work:
You will be going into schools to educate school students (Years 7-11) about mental health.
You will be in groups of 3-4 volunteers delivering one of the workshops (below) in a classroom.
You will travel together to get to the school and every workshop will include information about places to find help and support, leaflets and open discussion.
You can view all the lesson plans/powerpoints we will be delivering in the volunteer resource hub in your google drive
Once all the crash courses have been completed a rota will be opened for school sessions and you will select as many sessions as you would like to do (The more the better)!
Once you have your group (which can be viewed on the rota), the Team Leader in your session will contact you with further information about the lesson plan you will be using and where you will meet to prepare for the workshop.
Team Leaders:
The Team leader will run through the lesson plan you have signed up for and they will be your point of contact for any concerns regarding your particular session.
Team Leaders and our volunteer coordinator will ensure you know all the information needed before you deliver school sessions.
Sessions you can Deliver:
Introduction to mental health
Anxiety Disorders
Mood Disorders
Eating Disorders
