WHY APPLY FOR TREASURER?

The treasurer of OpenMinds oversees the project’s both grant and own funds accounts. The treasurer is also responsible for sorting out claim forms for the reimbursement process and keep the budget spreadsheet updated with income and expenditure. This helped me improve organization and time-management skills. In addition, the treasurer is the one who completes the grant application for the following year, so the next committee can continue and expand on the project.

Besides being involved in the financial aspects of the project, the treasurer, as with all other committee members, attends the crash courses and actively contributes in planning school sessions, which has provided me with the opportunity to further develop my problem solving and teamwork skills.

Overall, I did enjoy my role as the treasure this year, it’s been a great chance to meet amazing people. Definitely recommend you join the OpenMinds team for next year!
