A hello from our new project coordinator!

Heeeelllo! Welcome (back) to York! I hope everyone has had a fabulous Summer and is ready to get stuck into some amazing volunteering opportunities this year! FIRST, A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to all of our volunteers last year! We delivered more sessions than any previous year, delivered them earlier in the year, and managed to introduce a new workshop in the schools! If that isn’t success, I don’t know what is! Most importantly though, the feedback from teachers and pupils was outstanding and the majority felt their mental health knowledge improved after our sessions. Thanks to you guys we also won the Love York 2018 Volunteering Award, which is simply amazing! We have a fabulous group of people on our committee this year, so please go find out more about them on our website! Everyone works extremely hard behind the scenes to make OpenMinds possible and to ensure we are constantly moving forward and reaching our goals. There will be AT LEAST three crash courses this term and AT LEAST three next term. It is compulsory to attend at least 4 of these sessions.
