UPDATE FROM OUR PROJECT COORDINATOR

This year is the most successful year yet for OpenMinds York. We have over 100 newly trained volunteers, allowing us to go into a third school this year. By the end of this academic year we will have conducted 58 workshops in schools, reaching over 1000 local secondary school pupils. THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!

Of course we wouldn't be able to do this without you guys, our wonderful volunteers, and our fabulous committee!

Committee applications are now open for next year, so please apply if you would like to take on a greater role within OpenMinds! If you would like to take on a role which takes up less of your time, then please consider helping us out by applying for team leader! The deadline for these opportunities is the 12th March at 12pm.

I'd like to finish off this post by reminding all volunteers that they must have completed safeguarding training, the assessment, and declaration before they go into schools! Please also apply for your DBS check asap from YUSU and send us in a photo.

There are also plenty of sessions left if you would like to sign up on the rota!
